1. Introduction

Welcome to Sages Retreats. By booking a retreat or using our website, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

These terms apply to all bookings made with Sages Retreats and form a binding agreement between you (“the guest”) and Sages Retreats (“we”, “us”, “our”).

2. Booking & Payments

A deposit is required to secure your place on a retreat. Your booking is only confirmed once this deposit has been received.

The remaining balance must be paid by the specified due date prior to the retreat start date. Failure to complete payment may result in your booking being cancelled and your deposit forfeited.

We reserve the right to adjust retreat pricing at any time; however, once your booking is confirmed, your price will not change.

3. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can sometimes change, so we aim to be as fair and transparent as possible.

  • All deposits are non-refundable, as your booking secures your room and allows us to commit to the venue and retreat preparations in advance.

  • If you’re unable to attend, your booking can be transferred to another Sages Retreat date within 12 months of your original booking (subject to availability).

  • Transfers are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

By making a booking, you acknowledge and accept this cancellation policy.

4. Changes & Cancellations by Us

In rare circumstances, we may need to make changes to a retreat (including accommodation, instructors, or itinerary). We will always aim to keep any changes minimal and of equal or greater value.

If we are required to cancel a retreat, you will be offered:

  • A full refund, or

  • The option to transfer to another retreat date

We are not responsible for any external costs incurred by you, including but not limited to flights, insurance, visas, or other travel-related expenses.

5. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations where such failure is due to events beyond our reasonable control. This includes, but is not limited to, natural disasters, extreme weather, volcanic activity, government restrictions, pandemics, or travel disruptions.

In such circumstances, we will offer the option to transfer your booking to a future retreat date where possible.

6. Travel & Insurance

Guests are responsible for arranging their own travel to and from the retreat location.

Guests are solely responsible for ensuring they meet all travel requirements for Indonesia, including visas, vaccinations, passports, and entry regulations.

We strongly recommend that you obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering:

  • Trip cancellation

  • Medical expenses

  • Personal belongings

  • Travel delays

7. Health & Responsibility

By attending a retreat, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in activities such as yoga, Pilates, fitness sessions, and excursions.

You agree to:

  • Inform us of any medical conditions, injuries, or dietary requirements in advance

  • Take full responsibility for your own health and wellbeing during the retreat

Participation in all activities is voluntary and at your own risk.

8. Accommodation & Conduct

Accommodation is allocated based on your booking selection and is subject to availability.

We aim to create a respectful, supportive, and safe environment for all guests. We reserve the right to remove any participant whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate, without refund.

9. Liability

By participating in a retreat, you acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with travel and physical activities.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sages Retreats shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or expense arising from your participation in the retreat, except where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings at any time during the retreat.

10. Photography & Media

During retreats, we may take photographs and videos for marketing and promotional purposes.

By attending, you consent to being included in such content. If you would prefer not to appear in any media, please notify us in writing prior to the retreat.

11. Privacy

We respect your privacy and will only use your personal information to manage your booking and communicate with you.

Your data will not be sold or shared with third parties without your consent, except where necessary to deliver your booking or where required by law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Indonesian courts.
